USNA is proud to present you with the Kaplan Nursing Question of the month!
A man fractures his left femur in a bicycle accident. A cast is applied. Which of the following exercises would be MOST beneficial for this patient?
(1) Passive exercise of the affected limb.
(2) Quadriceps setting of the affected limb.
(3) Active ROM exercises of the unaffected limb.
(4) Passive exercise of the upper extremities.
Can you solve the problem? Give it a try and check back here at the beginning of next month. We’ll post the answer to last month’s question and the new question at the beginning of each month. Good luck! Enjoy your Summer Break!!!
