USNA MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of USNA is to cultivate professional nursing through:

  • Promotion of nursing practice
  • Interactions among students, and
  • Providing opportunities for scholarship and service in the community at large

USNA is proud to present you with the Kaplan Nursing Question of the month!

A man fractures his left femur in a bicycle accident. A cast is applied. Which of the following exercises would be MOST beneficial for this patient?

(1) Passive exercise of the affected limb.

(2) Quadriceps setting of the affected limb.

(3) Active ROM exercises of the unaffected limb.

(4) Passive exercise of the upper extremities.
