Breakthrough to Nursing Grant
Below is a link to the new USNA Breakthrough to Nursing Grant. This grant will provide funds for student nursing groups that may lack sufficient funds, but that have the ideas and the people-power, to put on a great Breakthrough to Nursing project.
Breakthrough to Nursing (BTN) is a program that helps recruit underrepresented groups into the field of nursing, with the recognition that nursing requires members from all walks of life to provide optimal care to patients. These groups include racial and ethnic minorities, men, high school students, older people looking for a second career, and more. BTN also is concerned with providing nursing outreach to medically underserved populations.
Grant amounts from $50 to $500 are available to eligible applicants. To apply, please complete the application below and submit to the Utah Student Nurses’ Association’s Breakthrough to Nursing Chair at btn.usna@gmail.com by January 20, 2012. Results will be revealed at the 60th annual USNA convention.
