Membership in USNA/NSNA is $30.00 for the first year and $35.00 for renewing members. Once the membership dues have been paid, the student is a member of both the state organization (USNA) and the national organization (NSNA).

*School chapter dues are separate from NSNA membership dues.

NSNA has designated two levels of membership:

ACTIVE members:

1. Students enrolled in state approved programs leading to licensure as a registered nurse
2. Registered nurses enrolled in programs leading to a baccalaureate degree with a major in nursing

ASSOCIATE members:

1. Prenursing students that are enrolled in college or university programs designed as preparation for entrance into a program leading to an associate degree, diploma or baccalaureate degree in nursing.
2. Associate members have all the privileges of active membership except they are unable to hold to position of president and vice president at the state and national levels.

**All Applied Technical College students are eligible to become associate members of NSNA/USNA.
